Red Cross Organisation
The Red Cross was born with a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield. Endeavours in its International and national capacity to present and alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being.
The part of the International Red Cross organization in educational institutions is to establish a Red Cross club and organize various activities such as Blood Donation camps. First Aid training Programmes, Blood Screening Campuses, Medical Camps, workshops, visit Blood Banks, visit to orphanages.
At this juncture Teresian PU College also established the Red Cross Club in the year 2022-23 and organized various activities. The inauguration of the Red Cross Club was held on the 24th June, 2022. A medical camp was conducted on 13/07/22, special seminars on 16th August was about Job openings in Defense. On behalf of the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava on the 19th August 2022 students were taken to Government High School, Yaraganahalli and performed cultural programmes, on November 5th Red Cross Students visited Ayur Mantam. On 7th November the club organised a Medical Camp & Eye Checkup Camp. Likewise, Teresian PU College through the Red Cross Club Motivates the students to serve the society & moulds them to become responsible citizens of the country.
