August 15, 1947 is a red letter day in the history of India. It took years to break the shackles of slavery. Every city, town, college and school celebrate the independence day with great pomp.
The chief guest *Mr.Greenidge D’Cunha,* JCO Indian Army, International Handball player,hoisted the flag followed by the national anthem and took the general salute along with the members of management, principal/s and staff.
The spirit of patriotism was enhanced through a speech delivered by the chief guest followed by the rendition of patriotic songs, poems and dance displays by the students of both high school and PU students.
This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and it is the duty of all to uphold it.
